Gnome Student Homes

There’s no place like Gnome

We were asked to create an identity for a new student housing company. Initially the owner wanted to use his initials for the name but we persuaded him to try something a bit more memorable. We got the thumbs up and Gnome Student Homes was born.

We led on creative direction, naming and tone of voice, as well as design of print, display and digital materials.

Creative approach

We didn’t want to go down the traditional gnome route, we wanted something a tad more rad, so we asked Nick Deakin to help us create a modern interpretation of the guys normally found in your gran’s garden. Instead our gnomes would be reading, listening to music and having a brew. We also brought Iain Broome on board to help develop copy for the gnome website. We like working this way, collaborating with people to make a project stronger.

The client was made up with the results and his houses were snapped up in record time.

“We wanted our new brand to be friendly and memorable. Eleven took that brief and went the extra mile to deliver something truly unique.”
