Energy Systems Catapult

Bringing new energy to a brand with a large-scale icon system

Energy Systems Catapult was set up to accelerate the transformation of the UK’s energy system and capture the opportunities of clean growth.

The Catapult is a not-for-profit organisation, bridging the gap between industry, government, academia and research. They appointed us to develop a series of icons (150 and counting) and graphics that they can adapt for use across their brand collateral.

The Catapult’s audiences are diverse and the subject matter is technical. We worked closely with the project team to refine the content – we knew the icon style needed to be simple enough to convey complex themes but still have a personality unique to the Catapult.

Following the initial design of icons, Catapult appointed us to implement and develop graphics across a range of materials. They included exhibition stands, reports, infographics, digital assets and more.

Icons were incorporated into large collage images and used across print and display materials.
